I attended a Planning Meeting this afternoon where we dealt with changing some of the sign ordinances, fencing and driveways for new homes in residential neighborhoods and minimum sqare footage of those homes. No billboards will be allowed along I 65 or Highway 43 less than 1,000 ft from the roadway. All new homes must have concrete, brick or cemented paver driveways. This would eliminate any non-driveway residences as well as asphalt, gravel or sand
used for that purpose. Fences would not be allowed to enclose front yards past the front edge of the home. Homes would be required to meet minimum sizes: ie. 1,200 sq ft in Norwood and Woodlore and 2,000 sq. ft. in Pirates Cove. These changes will be discussed in an open forum meeting, before they are presented to the council for an ordinance vote.
