Today at Kiwanis, we had installation of local officers by the Regional Lt. Governor: Carnes Craig-President, Ervin Daily-Vice President, Adam Bourne-Secretary and Jim Trout-Treasurer. After that brief ceremony, todays guest speaker was Dr. Henry Creel, pastor of Chickasaws First Baptist Church. He gave a truly inspirational talk about "How can you believe there is a God with all the evil in the world". The answer of course was "Why would you people be meeting here to help children in your community; why would anyone do good for one another if evil was all there is to look forward to? My paraphrasing does little justice to his powerful lesson in proof of a benevolent creator, but we all left feeling much better about life.
