The city has hired an architect to start on the new Safe House, which is a shelter for seniors during a hurricane or severe weather mishap and a new community center the rest of the year.
We received a $1.2 million dollar grant to make this happen and pictured are the committee that helped with the preparation of this upcoming structure. Construction should begin by March of this year. Tomorrow is our next meeting of the 2010 Coming Home activities that will happen this October along with Founders Day sponsored by the Chamber Of Commerce.
