I had the occasion to talk to the city clerk this afternoon about the City sponsoring the Chamber Of Commerce meeting. Tonight the council voted to hold a public hearing November 24, 2009 concerning the (sign, driveway and home square footage) ordinance proposed by the Planning Commission earlier. I nominated David Goff to the Industrial Development Board to replace Margaret Czajkowski, who has resigned for business reasons and the council voted him onto the board. I also requested the city to save any scrap lumber for the Papa Noel Bonfire to be held December 23, 2009. After the meeting we discussed circulating a petition around the city to save the Chickasaw Post Office from permanent closing by the district Postmaster.
