March 31, 2010

Today, being a continuation of Holy Week, I returned to Chickasaw First Baptist Church to hear Dr. Henry Creel give a stirring talk about what motivates people to sin. He used examples ranging from Judas Ascariot "selling out" Jesus for silver to Bernard Mahoff's ponzi scheme. No matter how evil the sin, and we all do it, the importance is owning up to our mistake in prayer to Jesus and asking for his forgiveness. We enjoyed a great chicken gumbo lunch and I had the opportunity to speak with a City Councilman and a member of our Chamber Board.
This afternoon I will pick up the tickets for Citizen of The Year and get them to our event chairman for distribution.
