Mayor Pittman had discussed purchasing the Chickasaw portion of the Prichard Water Board and was told they wanted 15 million dollars. Now MAWSS (Mobile Area Water and Sewer) is advocating a takeover of the Prichard utility. While the Prichard utility had suggested selling
out to a private concern, MAWSS is trying to keep that from happening stating that it would not be in the best interest of the stakeholders.
