December 4, 2009

It was a bitter-sweet day for me and Deborah. The kitty, (Cupid) that we have had for fourteen years was diagnosed with cancer and diabetes and we had to have her put to sleep. It was particularly hard on Deb and she held her while they gave her the injection. We brought her home and buried her in our shade garden.By this evening we felt a bit better and I went to the tree lighting ceremony where Mayor Pittman and Santa Clause officiated. Most of the council
and many, many citizens (including mayor exofficio, Jim Trout and his wife Barbara were there). Ervin Dailey read a Christmas story to the young'uns and the children told Santa each and every toy they wanted.
