We had the opportunity to go to the 19th Chickasaw Reunion Luncheon sponsored by Ruby Moore and her husband, owners of the Spot Of Tea on Dauphin Street. What a great crowd; folks that grew up here who remember cutting grass for a dime so they could walk to Prichard and swim in the pool all day for ten cents. They gave prizes for the oldest male and female and all were treated to a great lunch. Some of our outstanding current residents were in attendance such as Henry Phillips, Teresa Goolsby and Patsy Lewis. I read them an invitation to our Chickasaw Founders Day celebration coming up on October 30, 2010 and a list of activities they could enjoy at the event.
