Last night I attended a 2010 Founders Day Committee meeting where we decided on a $20. vendor fee to have a selling booth at the event. We approved several categories of activities including a walking tour of historic landmarks, a presentation of the smalltowns and downtowns plaque from Governor Riley accompanied by Azalea Maids, Silent Auction in the small room of the Civic Center, a raffle and Model Train display in the large room, many national and local performing artists on the Amphitheatre stage and inflatable rides and face painting for the children. Arts and crafts as well as food vendors still have access to some choice spots along Grant Street and Court Street which will be closed off to traffic.
