Today at our Kiwanis lunch we welcomed Elizabeth Walter and Brenda Wallace from CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for abused and neglected children. The program has 40 CASA volunteers who handle up to 3 cases per year. Each case requires a great deal of research and visitation with the parents and even testifying in court.It is an independently funded organization with donations coming from grants, clubs and individuals.
