I ran into one of the Council while checking my mail at City Hall and we discussed the new Founders Day website. This afternoon I had an appointment with a lady who wishes to open an alteration shop at 100 Kansas Street. There is just no reason why landlords refuse to bring their property up to code. This guy took the lady's money for a 400 square ft. space which has a non- functional air conditioner, a bathroom with no sink to wash your hands and a bladeless ceiling fan. The city is going to have to get tough on questionable landlords. The prospective client is Ethel Holmes and she wants to name the business: "Custom and Fit"
