I received a new application for another business wanting to open in Chickasaw. This one is a motorcycle supply shop being applied for by a Mobile policeman. The secretary for the Commercial board called and came by to pick up some tickets for the USA football game.
Tonight we attended the Farm/City Dinner along with several hundred
other hungry members and fellow Kiwanis. The main speaker was Tony Frazier, Alabama State Veterinarian. He was filling in for Glen Zorn, whose wife had broken her hip this afternoon. He was an extremely funny guy, keeping everyone quite amused, especially for a "fill-in" guest speaker. To our amazement, Deborah and I won one of the highly coveted door prizes; The Wildlife Award. It was a pleasant evening, indeed.
